We received a call to advertise in a Senior Scene calendar associated with the Senior Scene magazine. We were assured it was for the Canberra region and asked for them to send some more information by email as we were busy at work. We had to agree to go ahead with advertising before they would send any information. Soon after we had an email with the invoice for payment but no information helping us to understand what we were paying for. A google search that evening found that there isn't a Senior Scene magazine for the Canberra region. They sent a 'proof ad' for approval which was very poor but have not responded to our request for changes or the two requests by email for further information. Glad we didn't pay the invoice!

They have ripped me off saying that monies I paid for an ad in their Seniors magazine also came in a hard copy, which they'd send me a copy of. I repeatedly asked for my hard copy, they repeatedly told me they had sent it, by registered mail. What a load of shite!!!! I am constantly receiving phone calls asking me to advertise in other publications they have, when I laugh out loud and say not bloody likely, the call person gets really defensive. I have blocked so many of their mobile numbers, but vthe still keep ringing me. STAY A2AY FROM 5HEM, DO NOT, REPEAT, DO NOT ADVERTISE WITH THEM, THEY'RE A MOB OF CROOKS

Do not have anything to do with Ed Weaver or Australian Retirement Press. They use pressure call centres offering front page ads at bargain prices. Once you've paid, that's it nothing else. They'll call you and offer you a refund but it will never happen. They might call again and apologise with some excuse but you will never see your money again. Do NOT give them any money.

Total scam. Professional fraudsters. They needed to change their business name from Weaver Newspapers to Australian Retirement Press due to the bad press they received from so many angry small business owners, FairWork is involved, even the Police has been involved. Shocking company. Employees don't get paid regularly. No systems in place for anything. Please don't get scammed by these people. No newspapers get printed or distributed they way they tell their sales staff to say over the phone. 0397866861 is run by Edward Weaver and Michelle Schechter - 0410 386 085 is Ed's mobile. Email: firstname.lastname@example.org . betterpages.com.au scam. australianretirementpress.com.au scam. ruralads.com.au scam. 6 - 10 Govan street Seaford is the location of these scammers.

Was solicited by these people calling themselves the Senior Scene. Agreed to run an ad with them and told me they would call back shortly to collect payment. Did some research and found all this information. Michelle called back to collect payment and I told them I've decided not to go through with it. When prompted why I told them I'd done some research and found they did not look very...
