Yes, its a scam! I'm not even with Telstra! First you say hello, and there's no answer, right away that tells me its international or some scam, they never answer you right away. I kept going cos I want to know who it is. Lady says "Hi mam, I'm from the telstra technical department", straight way I know this is not correct. I am not even a telstra customer! And she called me mam, which means she don't know who I am! Plus she sounds like she's calling from Jupiter, sounds tinny and far away, not clear like normal a phone call. I stopped her there, said I don't like telstra and hung up! Bit of fun for the day!

I had a call only today from a indian accent saying he was from Telstra and my Internet was going to be disconnected for 2 weeks because hackers had got into my computer and downloaded software there. He asked me to go to my computer and log in.he hung up when i asked to verify he was from telstra.

Received a call from this number trying to tell me my telstra internet would be disconnected next week. I smelt a rat and when they couldn't tell me what address they were calling me at or give me my name I told them where to go!!

A woman sounding like she’s Indian told us that she was from Telstra. Insisted that we remove alleged viruses from our computer with their help otherwise we would have our internet cancelled. Said she was called Jennifer. Don’t believe these idiots.

Said there was strange activity from my computer and that my internet would be suspended for 15 days from tomorrow. Asked me to go to my computer so he and then a she (2nd call) could show me what the problem was. When I asked them for a Telstra case number so I could call them back, they hung up.

Not Telstra!!! Just received a phone call from this number and they couldn’t answer my questions. I did a degree in IT and they couldn’t answer questions to support why they wanted access to my internet/computer. Why isn’t a government watchdog taking care of this? I have had 27 phone calls like this in the like 6 months?
